Relocating to the Florida or Tampa area
Moving to a new area can push someone to their mental limits, without mixing in the daunting task of finding a place to live in addition to finding a Realtor you can trust. At RE/MAX Bay to Bay, I understand this, and I am an expert in relocation. I have a long history of finding buyers the right home by going through a very specific checklist to help you efficiently narrow your options.
When relocating, you probably won't have the time to look at every house for sale. Most likely, you'll have the time to visit 20 to 25, so whittle down that list first thing with this advice:
- Come into town with two lists: One should be of things you require in your new home. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house can't fulfill your basic needs, we can naturally cross it off the list.
- Have a predetermined price range. This could be based on loan pre-approval or a reasonable estimate of what you'll net from the sale of your current home.
- Think about drive time to work or other interests. Traffic in the Tampa area could be different than what you're used to, so let me know how long a commute you're willing to undertake.
Before we meet in person, I could send you my picks for possible homes. Or you may already have some strong possibilities culled from your own research. While virtual tours and photos are invaluable, there's nothing like touring homes in person. I can schedule any necessary appointments with other Realtors or homeowners and map a route. We could visit up to 8 or 10 homes in a single day with the proper planning.
